When winter descends upon Lake Huron, it transforms into a breathtaking wonderland of ice and snow. The pristine, white landscape is a sight to behold, with snow-covered trees and a tranquil, hushed atmosphere. The usual sounds of the lake are replaced by a serene quiet. Yet, within this hush, nature’s intricate beauty shines through with frosty patterns, wildlife tracks, and distant winter bird calls.

With wooded trails, scenic country vistas, and stunning Lake Huron, Bayfield is a beautiful place to explore no matter the season. Bring your hiking boots and plan a trip during leaf-peeping season for a display of color. Several weeks later, the snow starts to fall and guests can enjoy the quiet of winter and crunch through the snow in evergreen forests or try out the snowshoe trails on the river flats or go skating at Dark Horse Winery.
You’re just 1 minute from White Squirrel Golf Club with winter hiking trails and winter golf for those die-hard links lovers. Explore downtown Bayfield, just two minutes away, and browse the unique boutiques, and stop for a hot coffee at one of the quaint cafes. We’re happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, including Dark Horse Estate Winery with a tasting room as well as an outdoor skating rink. If you prefer hops over vines, Bayfield River Road Brewing has an outdoor tasting room to enjoy the craft brews

All guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo ID including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. The primary renter must be over 25 and photo ID is required. Only those occupants listed on the rental agreement are allowed to occupy the property. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. Max occupancy at all times is 10 and violation will result in removal without refund. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (Including noise, temp & wifi connections. May have outdoor camera for security)
Max 1 well behaved dog is allowed but must sign pet addendum.
Parking is limited to 4 vehicles.
