Welcome to Lakeside Layover, your ultimate vacation rental for a fun-filled and relaxing getaway. Located just steps away from the beautiful Lake Huron as well as Main Street, this cottage offers the perfect location for families or groups of friends. With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and plenty of amenities, this home sleeps 10 comfortably and is perfect for large groups or families. Enjoy high-speed WIFI, air conditioning, 2 fireplaces, a GAME ROOM and SmartTVs with Netflix, PrimeVideo and Disney included to keep you entertained. Plus, with 2 pets allowed, you can bring your furry friends along for the adventure.
Inside, the home is beautifully appointed and offers plenty of space for everyone. The large open kitchen has plenty of prep space and storage with everything you would need to prepare your family favorites. The farmhouse table seats 8, and the live-edge breakfast bar seats 3 more. The main floor living room is bright and open, perfect for the family to connect. The lower level Game room is great for cuddling up and watching movies on the SmartTVs, and there’s a poker table, ping pong table, air hockey and basketball for extra fun.
Lakeside Layover offers plenty of outdoor amenities to keep you and your guests entertained. Enjoy grilling some steaks on the BBQ grill sharing meals the outdoor dining table. The large yard is perfect for playing games like cornhole and ladderball, or shooting hoops on the basketball net. You’ll also have access to 2 16” bicycles and 2 scooters, as well as 2 kayaks and a paddleboard with life jackets. Relax in a comfortable chair around the fire pit and enjoy smores and ghost stories. Take a stroll on the beach or go for a paddleboard on the lake, take the family for icecream up town, this place is setup for fun!!
NOTE: Lake access is steps away on Tuyll street. I expect we will have more beach this coming summer 2023 depending on lake levels and what the lake pushes up. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It’s fun to go stone collecting – Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it’s not weedy or slimy at all.
The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, each with their own unique charm. The premier bedroom even has a honeymoon deck for some private time with morning coffee or a glass of wine and a book..

Bring your hiking boots and plan a trip during leaf-peeping season for a display of color, or come enjoy the quiet of winter and crunch through the snow in evergreen forests.

All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. Max occupancy at all times is 10 violation will result in removal without refund. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections)

Parking is limited to 4 vehicles.
